One of the greatest - most unusual and unorthodox - and sheerly beautiful - tracks of the peak moment of ambient jungle (late '93 / first half '94). Musicality unexpectedly emerging in a context considered widely, by supposed cognoscenti, to be sub-music ("jungle - it's just not music" as a colleague apparently said, and a dance-specialist to boot, a fan of Laurent Garnier).

doubly ironic given that after Garnier's dalliance with fairly naive, eyes open trance around 93-94, he went quite down the rob hood school of detroit minimalism, and ironically started playing ambient jungle. But then again for me the opposition between jungle and detroit is a stupid middle class thing, mostly represented by whiteboys who must police the boundaries of music as an overcompensation for what they designate as being cool (itself a racist attitude.) In the end though jungle and detroit all happily made up at the alter of Cabaret Voltaire — does he who shall not be named know about neurofunk? In particular, Krust - the last day.
have you seen this tweet from Simply Red? amazing! and its incredible he places working class whites above often (immigrant) Jamaicans. https://twitter.com/simplyredhq/status/1263421095853645824
I.E: the affirmation of what is perceived to be cool (american) blackness vs the denial of more close to home British (or German) Blackness if we're talking techno.
