I was just at one of their raves the other day for my birthday and I find my favorite writer blogging about them the day after - whowouldathought?
Also of note Portland Oregon has had just an equally mental if not more so gabber/breakcore scene with a lot of overlap with LGBTQ+ culture and subcultures like the furry fandom. Its been going on since the early 2010s if not before so with crews such as fukdup and norm corps throwing a bunch of shows. All the mainstream clubs in Portland are rather pathetic and play mostly mainstream EDM/brostep so the real rave culture in Portland thrives through renegades.
